What is a mobile chicken coop?
A mobile chicken coop is a henhouse on wheels or skids that you relocate so your flock always has fresh grass. Moving the coop spreads manure naturally and keeps any one patch of lawn from wearing out.
How many hens fit in your coops?
It depends on the model, and on arithmetic rather than the number on the carton: roughly 4 sq ft of coop floor per hen, plus 8-10 sq ft of run. Each listing carries the capacity and dimensions its manufacturer states, and our own sizing where the two differ. Where a figure is missing, ask us and we'll get it before you order.
Do your coops arrive assembled?
Assume a build. Flat-packed cartons are the norm in this category: where the manufacturer states how a coop ships, the listing says so, and where they don't, ask us before you order and we'll get it confirmed. Most builds need two people and basic tools.
How do I move a wheeled coop?
Smaller models move like a wheelbarrow: lift the handle end and roll. Larger models have four wheels and tow handles. Each wheeled product lists wheel details in its Mobility Spec block.
